Statement From Alaska Republican Party Chairman On The Assassination Of Charlie Kirk

September 10, 2025

ANCHORAGE – “I am deeply saddened and outraged by the assassination of a true American patriot, Charlie Kirk. Charlie was a devoted Christian, a fearless and thoughtful leader, a gifted communicator, and a tireless advocate for the conservative movement. From a young age, he dedicated his life to awakening a generation of Americans to the values of faith, liberty and personal responsibility, and inspired them into a plan of action.

Charlie’s vision and energy inspired countless young people – and Americans of all ages – giving them the courage to stand firm in their beliefs and the tools to engage in the civic life of our Republic. He was more than a voice for conservatism: he was kind, thoughtful, and a powerful example of what faith, conviction, hard work, and love for your family and country can accomplish.

His death leaves a gaping hole in the fabric of our nation and the soul of our movement, and we are diminished by his absence.

As Alaska Republicans – and as Americans – we must be united and, with one voice, condemn this disgraceful act of political violence that has no place in our country. We are grateful for the quick action of the FBI to take the suspect into custody and call for his killer to be brought swiftly to justice.

Charlie’s legacy and impact will live on for generations. May God bless and keep his family and grant them comfort as they mourn, and may we all find strength in the example he set for us in his faith.

On behalf of the Alaska Republican Party, I extend our deepest condolences to Charlie’s wife, Erika, their beautiful young children, the entire Turning Point family, and everyone who loves Charlie. We are grieving with you, and we will honor Charlie’s legacy by keeping up the fight and carrying forward the mission he championed so passionately.”
