Hi, I Am Tania Hotmer
About the Author
Tania Hotmer is a storyteller, mentor, and ecosystem builder whose work bridges leadership, nature, and personal renewal.
Her journey has taken her from guiding corporate teams to restoring native forests, two worlds that, at first glance, couldn’t be more different, yet both teach the same lesson: growth thrives where care and intention take root.
Raised between the gentle rhythms of the American South and the misty foothills of Appalachia, Tania carries a lifelong connection to place and community. Compassion came from her family’s quiet resilience, curiosity from childhood afternoons exploring woods with a friend, and integrity from watching generations before her work with steady hands and honest hearts.
Today, she shares The Regeneration Canvas as both a story and a framework for navigating change, helping people and organizations rediscover alignment between values, purpose, and action.
Her approach is grounded and deeply human, inviting readers to slow down, reflect, and grow in ways that sustain life rather than just success.
My Story
Tania didn’t set out to write a framework. She set out to make sense of change. Her path wound through boardrooms and backyards, from shaping corporate culture to kneeling in the soil during forest restoration projects. Along the way, she began noticing patterns in how both people and ecosystems falter when pushed too hard, and how renewal always begins beneath the surface.
The turning point came during the pandemic. When her mother became ill, Tania returned home to care for her. One quiet afternoon, while clearing invasive honeysuckle to free a struggling Redbud tree, she realized what had been calling her all along: regeneration.
That small act of making space for something to breathe and grow again became the seed of The Regeneration Canvas.
What followed was less a writing project and more a practice in living. The Canvas became a map for aligning values and action, a reflection of how healing — whether personal, familial, or ecological — always begins with attention.
Now living with her family in Ohio, Tania continues to tend to both people and places. Her work reminds us that leadership isn’t about control, it’s about cultivation. That resilience is not toughness but tenderness practiced over time.
A slow-burning thinker. A steady guide.
And still, someone who finds her best ideas while walking among trees.
Our Satisfied Readers Say
Elena M., Educator & Parent
I didn’t expect a leadership framework to make me cry in a good way. It helped me reconnect with why I started leading in the first place.
